Do you as a owner want high Quality Products installed at the same high standard as required by the Larger home improvement companies for the same price you would get for lesser quality products by the Larger companies.
I Would.. and that's what you get by going with an Independent contractor 10 out of 10 times if you do the correct research. I myself am classed as an independent contractor and my reputation is great find out for yourself.
If you've decided to get more for your buck you're going to have to do some research, because your contractor is going to have to live up to the reputation I just set for him.
You want references, Better Business Bureau reports, before and afters, insurance and license information, etc, etc
Your Project Planning and design may require a little more time and the installation may also take approx 20 percent longer, but you have no middle man to relay information and no big man cashing in on your budget.
